Simple Sprouts Pulao

Sprouts Pulao
Hi friends, I am Sunil Kumar Nayak from Odisha, India. By profession a Banker and a Passionate cook. I always want to try a new recipe during weekends, although impossible for a banker but I manage. The recipe I am going to share today has been inspired from cooking rice a staple food for most Indians. I tried the recipe to be very simple, quick and healthy keeping in mind today's scenarios.
Cooking time : 40 minutes
Serving : 2

Ingredients:

Basmati Rice: 2 Cups( Soaked in water for 10-15 minutes)
Sprouts : About 150g or 1 Cup
Carrots : About 150g or 1 Cup(Diced)
Chickpeas: 1 Cup(Boiled)
Beans, Green Peas : About 1 Cup
Onion : 1 Medium Sized Sliced.
For Spices: Green and Black Cardamom, Cloves, Bay Leaf, Cinammon Stick, Ginger, Turmeric powder
Water as required.
Salt as required.

Process:
- Heat the pan in low-medium flame and pour some Oil.
- After the Oil heats add the Spices and Stir fry for a minute.
- Now add Onions to the Spices Stir Fry till Onion softens, don't make the onion change colour.
- Now add Ginger(about 1 inch cut in Julian). Stir Fry for 2 minutes.
- Add all Vegetables( this can be up to one's choice), & stir fry.
- When the Vegies get soften or half cooked, add the Rice. Mix the Rice gently so the grains don't get broken.
- Now add some mint leaves, this adds nice flavour to the dish.
- Add 4 Cups of Water, i.e 2 times of Rice. & 1 pinch of turmeric powder.
- After this cover the lid and let cook for 15 minutes or till all water evaporates.
(keep the flame low-medium)

When all water evaporates you will get a nice and fluffy pulao. You won't believe this recipe made my day.
